With the meeting point set in Fátima, we take the road where in Galician lands we start our French Way, covering wonderful natural landscapes. We can see different cultures and enjoy the local cuisine, such as the famous “pulpo” in Melide. There are many pilgrims who travel this mythical path, together we will walk in 5 beautiful steps to Santiago.

Day 01:

Fátima – Sarria (Route in our private vehicle)

Our meeting point will be in Fátima – Rotunda Sul at 1:20 pm. Where we will leave towards Sarria. The estimated time of arrival in Sarria will be at 7:30 pm. In Sarria, we spent the night, in a Private Hostel. 


Day 02:

Sarria – Portomarín (22Km)

On the way to our first stage we will discover many beautiful villages like Barbelo, Ferreiros, Vilachá and Portormarín, where we will sleep. We will also see important monuments, such as the “Santiago de Barbelo” Church, famous for its shocking architecture, the Romanesque portico of the Ferreiros Church, the legendary
kilometer 100 landmark and the fortified church of San Nicólas in Portomarín.

Day 03:

Portomarín – Palas de Rei (25 Km)ezgif 7 439547aa99a2
Today’s stage will take us through paths between beautiful oak and eucalyptus forests, passing through the villages of Gonzar, Ventas de Narón, Ligonde, Airexe, A Brea and finally Palas de Rei, where we will spend the night. Here, we can admire the Romanesque portico of the Church of “San Tirso”.

Day 04:

Palas de Rei – Boente (21 Km)

Today we will cross the border that separates the provinces of Lugo and A ezgif 7 b2bc1b8f66c2Coruña, crossing an ancient Roman bridge. Once in the province of A Coruña we can marvel at real jewels of the French Way, such as the Church of La Virgen de las nieves, the Roman bridge in Furelos, the Churches of Sancti Spiritus and Santa Maria de Melide, in Melide, where we will be sleeping. Melide is a very famous place for its octopus, and you certainly do not want to miss this special delicacy. Today’s stage ends in Boente a few kilometers after Melide, where we return in our private vehicle.

Day 05:

Boente – Pedrouzo (27Km)

Today will be the longest leg of ourezgif 7 e862851804e9 journey, but these 27 km will certainly remain in your memory, as its natural beauty will not be easily erased. From Boente, a small town with the spectacular church of Santiago de Boente, we will depart towards Arzúa where we can see the beautiful chapel of La Magdalena, built in the Gothic style and founded in the 19th century. XIX. Arzúa is also known for its famous and delicious cheese with a designation of origin and produced in this Galician city. After passing Salceda and Santa Irene, we will end this long but beautiful stage in Pedrouzo, where we can attend mass in the Church of the “Concha” and where the Priest usually blesses all the pilgrims who attend it.

Day 06:

Pedrouzo – Santiago (20Km) The day of emotion!

These 20 km that connect Pedrouzo to Santiago,
make this stage the stage of ezgif 7 359696c048b5consecration. After leaving Pedrouzo and going around Santiago Airport, we quickly arrived at Monte do Gozo, preceded by a huge straight line, the straight line of the Galician television station, in São Marcos. In Monte do Gozo, which is in itself one of the most emblematic places on the whole Way, due to its spectacular panoramic view of Santiago de Compostela, where from the monument to Pope John Paul II we can see our goal: the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

Day 07:

Free day in Santiago and return to Fátimaezgif 7 833e7fc666c3

Free day in Santiago, where we recommend attending the Mass of the Pilgrim, in which if we have the opportunity we can still watch the Bota-fumeiro. You can take the opportunity to go to Compostela, visit the historic area full of monuments, squares and streets. You can see the market, where we can buy local products. After the visit and at the agreed time, we returned to Fátima. Where a new path for your life begins!

THE Walk

You will walk at your own pace. The path is well signposted and you will not have to accompany anyone. We will have meeting points along the way with our support vehicle, roughly every 4 kilometers. The support car will have at your disposal: Snacks, bars, fruit and water, as well as ensuring that everything is fine with you. We also offer assistance for unexpected situations or simply to relieve any muscle pain and blisters on your feet that may arise. Do not worry that you are never alone on the way, and if for any reason you cannot keep walking, you can use our support vehicle until you wish or continue on the way the next day.
